ROMANTIC German cellist Edith Salzmann


Cellist Edith Salzmann will give a recital entitled ‘‘Romantic Cello’’ at Goethe Institute Bangkok on July 19 at 7:30pm.

D&M Music Studio and the University of Canterbury in New Zealand present the "Romantic Cello" concert performed by German cellist Edith Salzmann at Goethe Institute Bangkok on July 19 at 7:30pm.
As a soloist and chamber musician, Edith has toured Europe, the US, Canada, Australia, Thailand and Korea. And besides having recorded several CDs, she has also given recitals at important European festivals, including the Orlando Festival, the Prussia Cove Festival, Festival d'Ile de France, Festival Moulin d'Ande and The Sound of Israel festival.

She was appointed a senior lecturer at the University of Canterbury in 2001. Now she is a recording artist for Concert FM radio and has toured New Zealand with the Canterbury trio, the New Zealand String Quartet and the Baroque ensemble Il Raccolto.

Joining her to combine their talents for the upcoming concert are renowned pianists Indhuon Srikaranonda and Artas Balakauskas - familiar faces to Thai audiences.

The evening programme will feature Mendelssohn's Sonata in D Major for Cello and Piano, Op 58; Schumann's Adagio and Allegro, Op 70; and Chopin's Sonata in G Minor for Cello and Piano, Op 65.

Crescendo , the Specific Jazz Rock band that has specific melodious music style and a new singer Nut Chatchai Manitayakul , will come to play their songs at Overtone on Saturday 18th October 2008 at 10.30 P.M.

Crescendo is a talented music band that its sound consists of Pop,Rock, Soul , Funk, combined with a powerful melodious voice of their singer. "Kwam Jing Nai Jai (The Truth In My Heart)" got the band into media attention. They have many hits songs such as "Kwam Jing Nai Jai (The Truth In My Heart)" , "Din-Dan-Hang-Kwam-Ruk (The Land of Love)" etc. In 2006 , Bee Peerapat Tenwong resigned from Crescendo. Afterthat the band turned their music style to Contemporary Jazz and had the album "Sapcecendo". Now, they have a new singer.She is Rik Wachirapiran , a powerful mysterious singer. She is a proper singer for Crescendo. In 2007 ,they released their newest live album "Crescendo : Live of Light". INCA was founded in 1989 by Sakda Pathasima (Da) , Jaruwat Wisethsombaj (Oom) , Nol Singholga (Orh) . The debut album "Khon-Lar-Fhan" (Chasing the Dream) was released in 1991 .This album was achived because of their unique style. The hit tracks from this album are "Mhark-Game-Nee" (The Game) , "Ying-Kai-Ying-Jeb" (As Close As Pain) , "Kor-Rherm-Mai" (Turn Out A New Leaf)In 1993 , INCA released their second album "Tam-Roy-Ta-Wan" (Follow The Rising Sun) with remained 3 members ; Da ,Toey , and Boy .The hit tracks from this album are "Mod-Lawy-Mod-Laye" (Exhaust) , "Roy-Khon" ( 100 Men) , "Pheng-Tow-Nee" (Just Only)

Afterthat members of the band had become producers , sololists. In 2003 "INCA In Love Concert" was the reunion concert of thr band.Large number of their fans came to The Indoorstadium Huamark.

And in 2006 , INCA released their latest album " INCA Arrival" .

Underage Festival announce new artists


Underage Festival announce new guests Santigold, The Horrors and Lion Club to the already bursting line-up.

Also confirmed to play are The Pigeon Detectives, LadyHawke, Hadouken!, Rolo Tomassi, Tinchy Stryder and Kissy Sell Out, amongst others.

The festival will be held at Victoria Park, London, on the 2 August. This is the third year for the festival, which is internationally recognised as one of the most revered under 18’s events.

The doors open at 11am and close at 8pm. The tickets will cost £26.50. The tickets are strictly available only to those between the ages of 14 to 18. You can pick up tickets from www.seetickets.com or www.ticketweb.com.
